Skin First: Inside the Rise of the Five-Minute Routine
Fewer products, better results: why the shortest routines are winning.

Ask people what they want from make-up now and the answer is often the same: to look like themselves, only rested.
That has changed what sits on the bathroom shelf. Tinted moisturisers, cream blushes and clear brow gels have replaced long rows of primers and powders.

The four-product kit
A skin tint, a cream blush that doubles as lip colour, a brown mascara and a brow gel take about five minutes and cover most days of the year.
“When skin is looked after, make-up becomes a finishing touch, not a cover.”
The trick is placement: blush high on the cheek, mascara mainly on the top lashes and tint only where you need it.
